March 3's LOTD!!

I've been so ridiculously busy lately! Just when I thought midterms are over, the next round is coming up in a week. School's just getting harder as senior year approaches. Yikes! So tanyas247 from youtube tagged me in a "What's in my purse?" video so last Tuesday (March 3) I recorded the video, but I still haven't gotten it up! I also took some pictures for my LOTD, which I also never got the chance to put up =/. Hopefully if I have time I'll get my next tutorial up, but I've got loads of homework.

Anywhoz, this past LOTD was actually inspired by Adriana Lima (Victoria Secret model). I was looking at the W magazine and I saw her ad for Guess Jeans and I just loved her makeup!

This wasn't the exact ad I saw, but in this picture she's wearing the same makeup. There's another picture where it's a close-up of her face, but I can't find any online. I noticed the lashes definitely dramatized the look and I wanted to make it wearable for the daytime =)

I lessened the liner and didn't put on any falsies to tone down the look. Unfortunately I didn't have the lipstick shade she had on, so I just used what I had.

VIDEO GAME HEROINES Series: Nina Williams

Hey everyone! I finally recorded a tutorial for the next look in the Video Game Heroines series. This look is inspired by Nina Williams from the Tekken Games and Death by Degrees. This was a viewer request by rubygloom5678 =).

Knowing that Nina is an assassin, I wanted to make this both a Nina and a femme fatale look. And this is why I was going for a dramatic smokey eye. I smudged out the eyeliner on my lower lashline more than I would normally do for a smokey eye just to add to the femme fatale effect.

Hey all. As I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up for a party (and honestly I'm pretty tired), I thought I'd post an LOTD and some updates. Well here's my LOTD:

I don't wanna do a tutorial on this mainly because everyone's been posting their versions of Hello Kitty looks. So this is just to share what I came up with I guess. Anywhoz, more to important stuff.

For those who have subscribed to my youtube channel, you'll notice I haven't been posting any tutorials lately. I've been so swamped with school that I'm either too tired or I just don't have the time to record a video. I just took one of my midterms today (a Saturday!) and I still have one more, with a minimum 5 page short story on the side. Lots of stuff to do! I am hoping to get my next tutorial on by next week though! It will be a viewer request for the Video Game Heroines Series. The heroine will be Nina Williams from the Tekken games.

So that's all for now. I seriously need to get some sleep, I almost feel too tired to party hardy LOL. Heh that's college.

MAC, Sephora, and Coastal Scents Haul!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Alright, so recently I've gotten some new things to add to my still growing collection. Most of the stuff I bought I based on necessity so I tried real hard not to get anything I won't use! Let's start with brushes: From L to R: Contour Angle brush, Synthetic e/s brush, Deluxe shadow brush (huge!), and Mini Chisel Detail brush. Those came from Coastal Scents and they're all great! The next brush is just a smudge brush from Sephora and then MAC's 217. I used all of them already and I'm seriously loving it. I'm so glad I finally got a 217! Works wonders!


I also went to Sephora and while my friend was getting her makeup done, I decided to get the concealer palette from Makeup For Ever (No. 4). I've been wanting and needing this for a while now so I decided to get it after saving some dough. Along with the smudge brush and a cologne for my boyfriend, I spent enough to get an insider card and a free gift. The free gift I chose was the Givenchy Foundation Primer. Yay! And now for the main reason I went to Mac yesterday:

So my Valentine's gift from my boyfriend was pretty great this year! He surprised me with the tiny Hello Kitty case from MAC and when I opened it, there was a gift card! This is the first time he ever got me makeup, so that's pretty cool too. I didn't know how much was in the gift card though. So when I went to MAC, I first got my 217 brush, and then one of the MA's helped me out with getting some stuff from the HK collection. I already had my mind set on Too Dolly, which I LOVE by the way! I did a smokey eye last night using Romping (the purple-ish pink e/s) and it turned out great (I wish I had pics). And I was debating on whether to get a blush or lipgloss, but went with the blush instead because I loved how it showed up on my skin. So at the register I found out the gift card had $70 in it! So generous! I couldn't thank him enough. Oh and of course, I got the free HK bag =)

So that's it! I'm glad I stuck to my plan with only 2 items from the collection, I'm nearly broke! Ah, now I will save up for the next best thing on my list.
